I wonder, brother of mine, if you have grasped the momentous significance of this presentation of a cosmic, planetary and individual alignment exercise, prayer or invocation? It provides, as a result of its correct use, a spiritual inflow right to the very heart of humanity and from the highest sources. [Alice A. Bailey]
The significance of the quote above didn’t come through until I finally experienced it. I sat in my drawing room to study. When I looked at the screen of my computer, I began to go into a particular phase of meditation:
I found myself in another room just above the one I was already in. In this space, there was complete love and trust. I knew where I stood and who I was. The moment of realization came to me that I was to abandon the way I previously did my spiritual work and adopt a similar yet new to me method.
At first, this was hard because I’d spent years in a dedicated practice, doing things in one particular way. However, my problem was that it didn’t suit me anymore, and I was having a hard time letting go. I had to remember that the method by which the energy flows to oneself doesn't matter, only that it comes with a quickened response.
In Tarot readings, there is a card called the Two of Pentacles. In the symbolism of this particular card in the deck, one sees duality: an upper chamber and a lower chamber. In the upper chamber, the sun shines brightly, youthful exuberance characterizes the people displayed, and nurturance is admonished. However, in the lower chamber, one sees three emaciated people. Typically, these three are seen as rags (the lower chamber) to riches (the above chamber). Upon closer inspection, however, there is a glimmering light within even the humblest of people – so, who is to say?
