Dollar Sense

Thy Kingdom come

Thy Will be done

On earth as it is in Heaven

On the fly, a big decision is handed to you. What do you do? My choice is to hit the pause button. Well, just for a moment, anyway. I hit the pause button so I could think it through. Acting upon the highest aspiration one has for oneself isn't always easy. Sometimes, it takes a leap of faith. It may mean putting away some old beliefs: I don't have time for it, it costs too much money, or I'm not trained well enough to do what I love as a professional. And yet, an opportunity for that very idea comes along. What do you do?

The path to higher achievement doesn't always appear as the Yellow Brick Road: clearly defined, easy to follow, friends in toe, a cute little dog named Toto, and some red ruby slippers one isn't quite sure how to tap into the powers of, yet. Often, the path is obscured. This is because it may be "the road less traveled."

Measurements of one's self-worth rarely appear in a business setting, where the bottom figure is the bottom line to productivity, and one's value is clearly defined as a number. While most people realize humanity is so much more than a dollar sign, when it comes to the tough competitors, it's all about dollars and cents; often leaving common sense behind.
