Darwinism

Recently, a friend told me about her private beliefs regarding Darwin’s Theory of Evolution. She believes in Creationism, and the idea that man came from apes is a ridiculous notion; after all, from her perspective, God created man separate from the apes; man didn’t evolve from apes – or share a common ancestor other than man himself.

I didn’t argue, though I hold a vastly different perspective than my friend. However, after deeply pondering what she had to say, I had a thought: everyone is of the same consciousness – what I call God – and God makes no mistakes. So, what does it mean to evolve?

Evolution, to me, is a time constituent. Time not only heals all wounds, but it is through time that one experiences change. Ultimately, nothing changes if we are to believe the Wisdom Traditions of the world. We expand awareness from the limited to the more inclusive and see the light.

I thanked my friend for her perspective; it helped me expand my understanding of the universe.
