There’s a problem with perfectionism—and no, I’m not just talking about the kind that keeps you from finishing a project or makes you obsess over the tiniest details. I mean idealism. The kind that whispers that there is only one right way to be. The kind that traps us in black-and-white thinking when life was always meant to be a kaleidoscope of colors, shifting and turning, revealing new perspectives with every move.
And that’s where we’ve lost ourselves.
Society tells us what we should be.
Religion (when it becomes dogma) tells us what we must be.
But our souls? They tell us who we truly are.
The Narrowing of the World
I don’t mean to sound contrived, but yesterday’s rhetoric is today’s calamity. The world has grown too narrow and too religious, and by religious, I mean dogmatic, rigid, and unwilling to escape human limitations for the divine expressions of the soul.
We were meant to be so much more than who we think we are. We were meant to be ever-changing, ever-growing, living, breathing reflections of divine light. And yet, the boxes society hands us are too small to contain what we truly are.
What happens when masculine and feminine aren’t seen as opposites but as a divine dance within us? What happens when we stop defining ourselves by old traditions and start embracing the infinite nature of the soul? What happens when we let go of the idea that we have to be perfect to be worthy of love, happiness, or divine connection?
Made in Heaven: We Don’t Have to Be Perfect for Our Soul to Shine
I think about the movie Made in Heaven (you remember that one?) and the way Mike stumbles through life, completely lost, until he stops trying to fit into a mold and starts feeling himself as a soul. And then, he finds a horn, an instrument, and slowly, something starts flowing through him. A song. A frequency. A truth.
He doesn’t master it alone. People start showing up—drawn to the music he’s playing, even in its imperfection. They help him shape it, amplify it, and make it something bigger than himself.
This is the truth about embodying our soul’s purpose:
🔥 It’s not about being perfect.
🔥 It’s about letting the soul shine through.
🔥 It’s about allowing ourselves to be part of something greater, even when we don’t have all the notes figured out.
This is the Sacred Marriage—not of a man and woman in the way we’ve been taught, but the union of the soul with itself. The masculine and feminine within finally recognizing that they were never separate. The self coming home to itself.
The Kingdom Within: A Love That Expands, Not Contracts
John Sanford’s The Kingdom Within speaks to androgyny—not in the sense of removing gender, but in the sense of moving beyond rigid labels to something greater. He understood what Jesus meant when He said:
“At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.” (Matthew 22:30)
This was never about rules or structures. It was about expansion. About remembering that our soul is both masculine and feminine, strong and soft, logical and intuitive, structured and free.
This is why we need to make room for differences. This is why we need to allow the kaleidoscope to turn. This is why our spiritual growth is stunted when societal norms tell us that there is only one right way to be.
Because the Kingdom of Heaven is within—and if it’s within, that means it is not found in limitations but in infinite possibility.
The Inner Sacred Marriage: When Everything Aligns
There is a moment in the spiritual journey when something clicks—when the inner sacred marriage happens, and suddenly, everything aligns.
🌟 You no longer chase, you attract.
🌟 Your relationships shift into divine flow.
🌟 You step into your true purpose without resistance.
How to Cultivate the Inner Sacred Marriage
If you’re feeling this call to alignment, you’re already on the path. Here’s how to begin integrating your own inner divine masculine and feminine:
🌸 Masculine Integration (The Divine King & Warrior within you)
✅ Take responsibility for your path
✅ Protect your sacred energy and set clear boundaries
✅ Cultivate divine structure—daily rituals, focused action, purpose-driven work
🌿 Feminine Integration (The Divine Goddess & Mystic within you)
✅ Listen deeply to your intuition
✅ Allow yourself to receive without guilt
✅ Flow with the cycles of life, embracing transformation and surrender
🔥 Inner Sacred Marriage Ritual
Sit in stillness and visualize two energies within you—one masculine, one feminine.
See them moving toward each other, merging into one unified light.
Breathe into this wholeness and affirm:
“I am whole within myself. I embody divine union. I am love.”
Love in Every Form: A Valentine’s Day Reminder
As we move into February, the season of love, let’s remember: Love is more than romance—it is the force that moves the universe. Whether in self-love, friendship, soul connections, or divine union, love is what fuels transformation.
💖 The love between soulmates and strangers.
💖 The love between you and the parts of yourself you’re still learning to accept.
💖 The love that isn’t perfect but is real.
Wear pink. Eat chocolate. Celebrate love in all its forms. Because love, in its highest expression, is divine alignment.
When Everything Aligns… You Become the Divine Flame
To achieve true inner unity, we must follow certain spiritual principles—not as restrictions, but as guideposts for alignment:
🕊️ Oneness: Recognizing that we are all expressions of the same divine essence.
🕊️ Harmlessness: Living in a way that honors the well-being of all beings.
🕊️ Pure Motive: Ensuring that our actions stem from love rather than fear or control.
🕊️ Integrity & Free Will: Upholding our right to believe, speak, and express ourselves in alignment with our soul’s truth.
